Icarian #FernWings for a #Artselfie looks at the story of Icarus and the tragic theme of failure at the hands of hubris, the world of the #artselfie, and the need to celebrate life-giving plants. In an increasingly self-obsessed world, this work intended to be a symbol of balance. First created using social media platforms, photography, and audience participation during his residency at the Bemis Center, he re-performed it for the Benefit Art Auction on October 28, 2016.
