With reference to William Wegman’s 1970s videos of his two dogs, here, Kevorkian uses her two children in a series of videos that are an autobiographical nod to something her artist-father used to say. Kevorkian provides a look into her own personal experience as an artist with children, herself as a daughter, and to the art world at large. Larger themes such as exercising control and acceptance underlie family subject matter.
